Howdy! We went back at Chinatown again. I invited my cousin to visit the place to witness how beautiful the Goat lanterns on the street this Chinese New Year.
In Singapore, Chinese New Year is a two-days holiday. It falls on Thursday and Friday, hence it’s a looooong weekend! It is so beautiful seeing all the festive lanterns exhibits!
For me, the best time to visit Chinatown is 6PM onwards as Singapore gets dark at around 7PM. This is a good place for dinner plus it becomes more lively with all those beautiful red lanterns lined up in the street. Truly, the place seems to look different at night, it’s more vibrant and interesting. You can see lots of tourist shopping around here.
Most of the shops are open this holiday period. We just noticed that the cost of food (we usually bought Stingray and Fried rice at) is getting expensive now or it is because it’s a holiday but nevertheless the food is delicious and still our favorite dish.
To visit Chinatown you can take MRT or a Cab, the place is very easy to access. You will not get lost because there are signs to guide you to the MRT and taxi stand.
Definitely worth a visit!
