Hey, hey, hey, it’s a beautiful Sunday!
We spent three hours exploring the La Sagrada Familia, one of the most famous landmarks in Barcelona.
The Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família is a large Roman Catholic church in Barcelona, Spain, designed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí. Although incomplete, the church is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Amazing I couldn’t say anything else! I was totally blown away by the church architecture. We didn’t book the guided tour, we explore the church on our own.
The interior of the Sagrada Familia
We have been blessed to have a sunny day all the coloured glass offered an extraordinary show of lights and shades.
Every detail and the commitment from the people involved in this project is very inspirational.
Our trip to Barcelona wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t see the La Sagrada Familia, it is definitely a must-see.
Getting there: The church is very easy to find and close to the metro station, we used the train L2/L5-Sagrada Família, alight at the stop Sagrada Familia.
Entrance Fee: €15.00
Construction on Sagrada Família is not supported by any government or official church sources. Money from tickets purchased by tourists is now used to pay for the work, and private donations are accepted through the friends of the Sagrada Família.
I hope you’ve enjoyed these posts and thank you so much for your comments!
Smile a lot,
